It started with wet washing.

One sunny morning, we hung the laundry out. Three hours later, it was soaked. The weather app had said "fine day."

Humidity that morning was 82%. The wind was rolling in off the sea. The data was right there, but the app just never put it together for us.

So we built our own. Open Window Today started in 2024 as a single check: should I open the windows? It's now 32 cards covering everything from laundry and gardening to migraines, asthma and UV.

All 32 cards are free for everyone. No sign-in. No setup. Just type your city and we tell you what to do today. The site is supported by ads and affiliate links to relevant products.

Answers, not numbers.

Most weather tools throw numbers at you. We give you a Yes, No or Wait, with one short reason. No charts to read. No degrees to convert. Just the answer you needed in the first place.

Behind every card we use live air quality, temperature, humidity, wind, UV, pollen and air pressure, but each card only looks at what matters for its job. The laundry card cares about humidity and wind. The migraine card watches air pressure. The window card cares about all of it.

Data updates every time you search and refreshes automatically every 10 minutes if you leave the page open. Tap any time slot in the 48-hour strip to see how the cards change later today or tomorrow.
